Duties and responsibilities:

• Perform engineering design tasks for roadway, municipal, rail and port projects from preliminary to final design
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
• Maintain and establish working relationships with regulatory agencies, local government, DOT and state clients, as well as private clients
• Provide engineering design services for traditional design-build and design-build highway projects
• Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans, including but not limited to implementation and knowledge of cross sections, traffic control, drainage, and signing and pavement markings plans
• Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers
• Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance
• Identify schedule and cost variances and develop and implement recommendations for corrective action

Qualifications:

• 10+ years' experience in transportation (highway/roadway) engineering design projects
• BS Degree in Civil or related engineering degree
• Professional Registration (PE) in the given state of assignment
