We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Production Tech Intern in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), Rockies Business Unit based in Platteville, CO.

Oxy's Summer Intern Program runs from June to August for a full 12 weeks. As an Oxy intern, you will have the opportunity to experience real-life projects with hands-on participation in Oxy's core businesses. Your summer project will be designed to add value to our operations while providing an opportunity to observe your skills and competencies in action. Oxy interns are paired with a manager and mentor in order to provide technical guidance throughout the project timeline. In addition to attending training and development courses, lunch and learns, and social activities, interns will be given the chance to meet with Oxy leadership throughout the internship.

Production Tech Interns:

  • 9/80 Work Schedule
  • Must have a functional vehicle for transportation to work

Interns will be trained on and learn the following during their experience:

  • Facility Knowledge
  • Basic Maintenance
  • ProntoForms/ IDtool Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Know and understand core values (C.L.O.U.D.)

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Professional/Technical Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications:

Valid Driver's License

Skills & Competencies:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computer utilizing a MS Windows environment.
  • General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision.
  • Technical skills related to math and analytical processes.
  • Strong initiative and self-starter
  • Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization.

Salary:

This position will pay $1,760 biweekly
