The Opportunity:

As a CJADC2 SME, you'll provide operational, exercise, engagement planning, and subject matter expert (SME) support to identify and integrate combined joint all domain command and control (CJADC2) systems and capabilities into a U.S. Component air operations center (AOC). You'll incorporate joint, allied and coalition air, space, and missile defense capabilities, enhance concurrent execution of the counter air framework and fuse CJADC2 defense systems into AOC operations, exercises, training, and education. You'll support the development and management of a U.S. Combatant Command Theater Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Common Operating Picture and Theater IAMD Multi-Tactical Datalink Network systems and architectures supporting joint, allied, and Coalition operations and exercises in the area of responsibility (AOR). You'll provide U.S. Component stakeholders SME support, including operational implementation of CJADC2 systems into new and existing AOC systems and architectures, real-time support to time-sensitive and contingency operations as they apply to exploiting CJADC2 capabilities and limitations to further objectives in the AORs, theater and regional-level exercise support, and analysis and recommendations during Operational Planning Teams. You'll provide technical expertise and recommendations to leadership on operations, maintenance, and configuration of complex Tactical Data Link (TDL) Systems and how they interface with CJADC2 systems and architectures.You'll capture assessments and after-action deliverables, including talking points and recommendations for the future of CJADC2 as it relates to AOC operations and exercises. You'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we'll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience as a qualified Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO)

  • 3+ years of experience as a qualified JICO at a major staff or component headquarters

  • Experience with developing, writing, and articulating multi-national exercise objectives and datalink architecture plans to action officers and senior military leaders

  • Experience producing senior-officer level presentations, briefings, and background papers, providing detailed and well researched documents, and planning, coordinating, and executing theater and regional operations and exercises

  • Knowledge of of tactical data link protocols, including MIL STD 6011, MIL STD 6016, MIL STD 6020, MIL STD 3011, such as JREAP A, B, and C, TCP/IP, and serial, simple, and satellite standards

  • Knowledge of Force Design

  • Ability to take initiative and solve problems and provide expert advice on complex issues related to data link, including Link 11, Link 16, SADL, and Link 22 operation and system configuration

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Graduate of JT 301 and Combat Operations Division Interface Control Officer IQT (505th)

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with analyzing international policy and security regarding missile defense

  • Experience with joint exercise planning systems and tools

  • Experience creating, editing and executing exercise specific Master Scenario Event List (MSEL), Training Objective (TO), and Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) inputs

  • Knowledge of MAAPTK for the purpose of crating an OPSTASKLINK

  • Knowledge of system configurations and basics operations of routing, switching, network security and software defined networking to cloud networking

  • Knowledge of joint, allied, and partner air and missile defense systems, joint and combined military architectures, and exercise modeling and simulation

  • Ability to operate the following systems: Gateway Manager, Joint Air Defense System Integrator (JADSI), Joint Range Extension (JRE), Scalable Portable Integrated Data Router (SPIDER), Multi-Functional Information Distributive System (MIDS) terminals, and Move On Jump Off (MOJO) Mini

  • Master's degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
